KernelAI is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you, and only you. Unlike cloud-based AI services, we don't collect, store, or transmit your conversations. Everything happens on your device.

What We Don't Collect

We don't collect:

  • Your conversations with AI models
  • Your prompts or questions
  • Model responses or outputs
  • Usage analytics or telemetry
  • Device identifiers or tracking data
  • Crash reports or diagnostic information
  • Location data
  • Any personal information

Because all processing happens locally on your device, we have no technical ability to access your data. There are no servers receiving your information. No analytics SDKs tracking your behavior. No third-party services monitoring your usage.

How Your Data is Stored

All your data is stored locally on your device using:

  • AES-256 Encryption: All conversation history is encrypted at rest
  • Device Security: Protected by your device's passcode and biometrics
  • Local Storage: Data never leaves your iPhone or iPad
  • No Cloud Sync: We don't sync your data to iCloud or any other service

AI Models

KernelAI uses open-source AI models that run entirely on your device. When you download a model, it's stored locally. All inference (AI processing) happens on your device's neural engine and CPU. Models never communicate with external servers during use.

App Store & Payment Information

KernelAI is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information as part of the download and purchase process, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this information.

Children's Privacy

KernelAI does not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else, as we don't collect any data at all. The app can be used by anyone who can download it from the App Store, subject to Apple's age restrictions.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Since we don't collect your contact information, we can't notify you directly of changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
